Mary says that domestic violence actually goes up when they eliminate alcohol and drugs from the formula. (She says the alcohol acts to release emotions, and when that vent is eliminated there is even more anger to be released through violence at home.)
(5pm) Linda stopped by and picked up their tax stuff.
(6pm) Erica stopped by for a bowl and a brew. (Neat!)
She says they had a great ski weekend. (Good for them!)
I have been in another down cycle lately. (Annoying!) (I made the mistakes that created this financial mess, and I must pay for those mistakes now. (Tis frustrating though! (It would be nice to be able to get out and start doing more, and for there to be someone to do them with!)-(Oh well, it will pass and there will be better times!)-(Also, I have had lots of fun moments, so I can’t really complain too much.)))
Despite the negative aspects, it was a nice three-day weekend!
(9pm) There was a bit in "Psychology Today" about the lack of lite making people tired in winter. (I really noticed the effect of gray winters here during the first winter I lived here, but it seems better now.) (Maybe the constant gray is part of why I am a bit down and sleeping more now?)
(10pm) The sandman is knocking me out again, so I will go look for dreamland.

I have lots of little conversations with women at work still. (I used to tell those stories, but seem to have gotten away from that. (Maybe that is another indicator of this blasé attitude I have drifted into lately?))
Some consultants are in town analyzing the City’s sewer rates. (There are a lot of new facilities that have to be added, to make the feds happy; so rates will be going up.) (The woman is about my age and is real cute. (She is the number cruncher, so we are talking a lot.)-(She is based in Denver and she says the job market is real tight there. (She says when the oil business collapsed in the early 80’s it had a big impact on their economy.)))
I went over to the Parks Department this morning and helped Alissa and Amanda with computer problems. (To repay me for the help they bought me lunch.) (Amanda runs the recreation programs and she thinks I should join a softball team to meet people. (That would cause more anxiety than I can cope with and the loss of muscle control associated with anxiety attacks would make playing impossible. (It also costs more than I can afford to pay.)))
(8pm) The newspaper reporter who covers the City stopped by and talked to me today about the budget process. (She is cute!)
